About Me
I was born in Toledo, Ohio and moved to Miami, Florida as a child where I attended
elementary school through High School in Miami, while spending as much time in the Florida Keys. After graduating High School, I enlisted in the United States Army where I served a total of 8 years as a linguist and most recently as a sergeant and helicopter mechanic for the 101st Aviation Brigade at Fort Campbell, Kentucky.
After being honorably discharged in 1998, I moved to Nashville, Tennessee to take a job as a police officer with the Metro Nashville Police Department. There worked as a patrol officer, crime scene investigator and as a patrol supervisor (sergeant). As a police
officer, I have worked hundreds of calls relating to domestic issues, burglaries, robberies, homicides and kidnappings, to name a few. I have also worked directly on, and testified in, over a dozen murder trials both as a police officer and as a crime scene investigator.
In 2006, I made the choice to leave the police department to attend law school full time while working at a high-volume downtown law firm. The experience I gained while working at this type of law firm, along with my years of experience as a police officer, have given me a unique perspective when analyzing various legal issues and cases. I have also been fortunate enough to develop some very good relationships in the legal profession over the past 12 years that provide me valuable knowledge and insight that I use to help all of my clients.
Now I dedicate my life and my practice to helping anyone in need of sound and aggressive representation in legal matters both criminal and civil.
Call me at (615) 415-0542, and we can discuss your case and how together, we can resolve it quickly and efficiently.

Driving / Traffic Offenses in Tennessee (including DUI) - In Tennessee, mandatory jail time and the loss of your Tennessee driving privileges accompany many convictions for driving offenses. Dealing with the ramifications of these offenses can be very costly and time consuming. Furthermore, being prosecuted for Vehicular Assault and Vehicular Homicide causes added stress and strain to an already tragic event.
If you have been charged in Nashville or a surrounding county with any driving related offense, failing to have a Nashville criminal defense attorney review the case can potentially result in serious, long term consequences.
Our office handles the defense of the following types of driving related charges:
* Driving Under the Influence (BUI, DWI, or DUI)
* Driving on a Revoked/Suspended License
* Vehicular Assault
* Vehicular Homicide
* Habitual Motor Vehicle Offender
CRIMINAL - Facing criminal charges can be a frightening and nerve-racking experience. If you have been arrested, you need to take the proper steps to protect your rights. The facts in your case could help determine whether you may be able to have the charges dropped, negotiate a plea bargain, or be found not guilty. A skilled Nashville, Tennessee criminal defense lawyer may be your best resource to understand the complex laws and the options you have.
Even if you are only being questioned by the police, an experienced Tennessee criminal defense attorney can help guide you through the process. The police may tell you that you have the right to legal representation- and it's an important right. A criminal conviction can bring serious consequences, from a jail sentence to fines and potentially a permanent mark on your record. Even less serious crimes can make it difficult to gain employment or rent property. Defending your rights and fighting your charges may be the way to protect your future.
A Nashville, Tennessee DUI lawyer can help you understand your rights and options. The criminal court system can be intimidating, but you don't have to face it alone.
If you're like most people facing driving under the influence charges, you don't know a lot about the inner workings of the Tennessee criminal court system and are unsure what to expect. DUI charges can't be taken lightly. The State of Tennessee has imposed mandatory jail time for even first-time offenders, and the additional costs and penalties associated with a DUI conviction can be serious as well: probation, mandatory drug and alcohol counseling, installation of an ignition interlock device on your car, expensive high-risk insurance requirements, and much more.
To learn more about the possible penalties for a DUI in Tennessee and how you may be able to protect yourself, call me at (615) 415-0542. And as always, there is never a charge for initial consultations.
